GOXO is my proposal for the Muuto Design Contest 001. The contest focused on small home furniture and accessories that blend form and function, seeking designs that offer new perspectives on accessories for hallways, living rooms, dining rooms, offices, and more.

Goxo is a basque word that means ‘Sweet’, but also cozy... it could be the Basque translation for the word ‘Hygge’, as you can say that a food is ‘goxo’, but also a cozy space is ‘goxo’ or even a kind person can be ‘goxo’.

Cooking for someone else and for ourselves is way to show love and caring in many cultures. Can be creat an object that could represent and magnify the care hidden behind home-made food? This cake stand not only elevates the perception, but it also makes the user want to interact with it and place it anywhere near the group of people he/she is sharing the moment with. The chef will be proud to show home-made bakery inside this cake stand.

The shape of the base is chubby and soft, and it speaks the same design language as the lid, inspired by the design of an haute-couture hat. It is available in 3 different shapes and colors.
